Cool. I always personally rode in some beat-ass engineer boots, jeans, old leather jacket, so nice to see that only a few of these people felt the need for MX boots/pants.
I also like that 2-strokes are still going strong. I got suckered into the YZ426 back in the day and it got real old, real quick cycling the starter to TDC, stomping on it only to have it kick back at my shin, and the extra monstrous weight of that beast made any benefit fall away very quickly.
Meanwhile my buddy's CR250 was always one easy kick away from starting and was nimble over the bumps.

One of the guys had a 500 two stroke there. The thing sounded so good. But i think it was wayyy to powerful for itself since all the other 250-450's were pretty much on top of him. Not sure how hard it was for him to start though haha.
I think everyone there was a two stroke except for maybe 2 of them.
Most of these guys ride at tracks and stuff so a good amount of them wore the race style boots just because they had them. Then about 5 wore regular timberland style boots and had at it.

Twelve, 13 years back I was looking for a bike and considered the (very vintage now) CR500 two strokes, often sold in the paper for $1000 or whatever. A buddy advised: don't bother—too old, too fast, too heavy, too hard to start. The guys that still have them must be legendary though. This particular dude would borrow one for his ice racing series. Old-ass 500cc two stroke bike with railroad spikes sticking through the tires. That's death on a stick, mate.

I love watching that old movie, mainly because my grandpa did all that type of racing around the same time.
